When I was younger, my parents would watch the news religiously. I blame them for my insatiable curiosity. It’s one of the reasons I wanted to become a journalist. I assumed everyone loved the news like my family did. I would have jumped at the opportunity to talk to a reporter, given the chance….

It’s crazy to think that I’ve been in Savannah for a little over a month now. It’s all been such a whirlwind. And even though it’s only been a month, I look back and I can already see how much I’ve grown.
I came to Savannah for a news internship at WTOC and I didn’t really know what that meant….
It’s been a month since I moved to Savannah for my internship so I thought it would be a good idea to reminisce over what I’ve learned so far.
I’ve heard it said time and time again, communication is key. It’s a great skill to have in life, but especially if you are a journalist. If you want to be a journalist then you have to know how to talk to people.
People are your story. If you can’t talk to them or get them to talk to you, then…
